Who we are
The Tangerine Trust a charitable incorporated trust, registered on 7th May 2024 with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Our registered charity number is 1208130. We are a grantmaking organisation that operates in the North of England.
Legal basis for processing
As a grantmaking trust, we collect personal information for the purpose of assessing a grant application and to support and monitor a grant once it has been made.
The data which we collect is necessary in order to conduct due diligence and to make reasonable assessments when awarding grants and monitoring our own impact.
We also collect and use personal data where we need to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
What and how do we collect personal data?
We don’t collect any personal data while you browse our website, only when you complete a contact form, grant an application or send us an email are you sharing any personal data with us.
The types of personal data we might collect in a web form, grant application, or by email are:
Identity Information such as name and title.
Contact information such as email address and telephone number.
Work information such as charity or employer name, job title, profession.
How long do we keep personal data?
For unsuccessful applications we will delete personal information after 2 years from the date of refusal.
For successful applications we need to hold personal information to review the impact of our grant making activities and inform future grant applications. We also need to hold it for accounting and regulatory compliance. On this basis the earliest deletion date will be 7 years from the date of grant payment, unless you specifically request deletion at an earlier date.
Do you share my personal data?
We will never sell or trade personal data to third parties. Personal data will only be passed to third parties where it is directly in connection with our operations as a grant making charity, or is required by law or regulatory obligation.

Restrict the processing of your personal data.
Get a copy of your personal data.
